·               the arts

·               social work

·               medicine

·               health professions

The demand in the globalized workplace for bilingual and multilingual individuals is strong. Recently graduated French majors have:

·               gone on to graduate school at Oxford University to study art history

·               attended law school in Montreal to study French and British law

·               taught  for two years in urban schools under the auspices of Teach for America

·               received French government assistantships to teach English for a year in French schools

·               served in the Peace Corps in (francophone) Cameroun

·               taken positions,  right after graduation,  in major companies in Dallas, New York and Paris
