Internships available through the French Program are for credit and open to Junior and Senior French majors and minors who seek to put their language and cross-cultural skills to work in a professional environment. Students experience job negotiations in a cross-cultural and bilingual setting when they are placed in a variety of organizations and companies such as the Alliance française of North Texas, the Dallas Chapter of the French American chamber of Commerce and the Compagnie de Provence.

Students can choose a 1 credit, 2 credit or 3 credit internship; each credit represents 40 semester hours of on-site work. Students must also complete an academic component which includes a work journal and a number of short reaction papers.
